Finding and matching
How does the AI Home Matcher work?
You describe your budget, areas and BHK. The matcher compares them only with live ads on this site. It never invents homes, rents or availability.
When do I see the owner's contact?
After a match is confirmed and the unlock shown on screen is completed. Contacts are never shown on the open ad.
Are the rents on ads checked?
Rents are entered by owners. We do not verify them, so confirm the rent and deposit directly with the owner.
Does a match guarantee I get the home?
No. A match only introduces you to the owner. The rental decision is between you and the owner.
Applying and your dashboard
How do I apply for a rental home?
Open the ad, sign in and use the apply form on the ad page. Your application goes to the owner, who updates its status.
Where do I see my application status?
On your tenant dashboard. It also shows your saved requirements and your police tracker entries.
Who decides whether my application is accepted?
The owner does. ChennaiRentals.one only carries the application; it does not approve or guarantee any rental.
When the owner makes an offer, what do I do?
You can accept, decline or withdraw it from your tenant dashboard.
Police verification tracker
Can ChennaiRentals.one submit my police verification?
No. You submit on the official Tamil Nadu Police portal yourself. This site only helps you prepare and keep a tracking record.
What is the CRT- number?
It is this site's own reference for your tracker entry. It is not a police number. Add the police portal's acknowledgement number once you have it.
Who can see my tracker entry?
You, the landlord who recorded it for you, and the site admin team. The status is updated by the landlord, so check the official portal for the real position.
Do you keep my ID documents?
Only if you consent, and only until the deletion date you choose. Only the ID type and last four digits are shown on screen.
Does this guarantee a tenant or landlord is safe?
No. It is not a background check and carries no guarantee.
